My name is Iris Mo, and I am the Founder of Smiles In Color.

I started Smiles In Color with a simple hope: to use art to bring people a little closer together. I have always loved creating, but through volunteering, I began to realize that art could be more than something personal. It could become a way to make someone smile, start a conversation, and help people feel welcomed and seen.

Since then, Smiles In Color has grown from a small idea into a community of young volunteers who bring face painting, art activities, workshops, and exhibitions to local schools, libraries, cultural events, and community organizations.

Along the way, I have learned that service is never only about giving. Every person we meet teaches us something in return.

To me, Smiles In Color is about using creativity with kindness and creating genuine human connection—one small moment at a time.
